  • Read NCERT books line by line and topic wise not in standard wise.
  • Other than NCERT Books prefer some special author's book which suits you to read easily, which you can understand easily and stick to it (do NOT prefer more than one book to read in each subject) .
  • Read the CURRENT AFFAIRS in the topic which you are interested and read the topics which are necessary for the examination point.(Don't waste time time in reading unnecessary topics).

  • Preliminary exam:
The preliminary examination of the UPSC contains 2 papers General studies 1 and General studies 2(Qualifying paper).

7. English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

8. Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.
